United Way Perth Huron aiming to help hospitality workers

A local partnership is aiming to make sure there’s help in place for hospitality workers.

The United Way Perth-Huron says the Hospitality Workers Fund is an outgrowth of work being done by Stratford’s Economic Recovery Task Force and will provide direct financial relief to economically challenged current hospitality employees, those who have been laid off and those previously employed by one or more establishment in Stratford in 2019 and/or 2020.

The donation period for the HWF is currently underway through the UWPH with the fund a partnership between the organization and Black Swan Brewing Co., Stratford City Centre BIA, and the Local Community Food Centre.

Grant applications open September 1st and money will be distributed by the LCFC.
