Sebringville resident charged after collision in Perth East

Perth County OPP says one person was lucky to walk away from a collision after their vehicle struck a hydro pole and landed standing upright against some trees in Perth East.

Just before 8:30 in the morning on June 28th, first responders were called to a collision on Perth Line 43, between Road 110 and Road 111.

Police say a car had been traveling eastbound when the driver lost control and there were no injuries as a result of the collision.

During the course of the investigation, officers suspected the driver had consumed alcohol and they say a Roadside Screening Device test was conducted, which resulted in an Alert.

A 21-year-old from Sebringville has been charged with Careless Driving and they are scheduled to appear in court in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

A three-day driving suspension was also handed out.
