Weapon and drug charges have been laid against a 56-year-old West Perth woman. Perth County OPP says a vehicle was observed entering a gas station on Wallace Avenue North, in Listowel, just before 12:30 in the morning on July 1st. They say when the officer stopped the vehicle, it was discovered that the license plates attached to the trailer it was pulling were not the correct plates. The two people inside the vehicle were then arrested, and one was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a weapon. The woman has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order. They have a future court appearance scheduled in Stratford.
