Police charge woman after they say she broke into a home during a storm

Perth County OPP says one person is facing charges after they broke into a house during a storm.

Just after 7:30, last Friday, police officers were called to a residence on Road 157 in North Perth after a suspect had broken into the home.

Police say the homeowner had returned home to find a person had broken a window to gain entry and while inside the house, the suspect changed into the homeowner’s clothes, and drank a beverage.

Police located the suspect on foot nearby, where they were arrested for the break and enter.

A 40-year-old woman faces charges including Break, Enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, Fail to Comply with Probation Order, and possessing Meth.
