Perth County OPP says a young driver from North Perth has had their licence suspended for a week after they were caught racing.
Just before 7:30 Saturday night, police say an officer was patrolling Perth Road 164 in North Perth when a vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed.
Police say the vehicle was pulled over north of Listowel after it was found to be travelling in excess of 130km/h in an 80km/h zone.
A 17-year-old driver has been charged with racing with a seven-day driving suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment initiated as per statute.
