Police: Stratford resident faces charges after driving on closed road

A 24-year-old Stratford resident faces numerous charges after police say they were driving on a closed road.
Perth County OPP says they received reports about ongoing issues with a vehicle repeatedly speeding on the closed portion of Line 36 in Perth East.
Officers conducted extra patrols in the area, and just after 7:30 in the evening on July 21st, an OPP officer located the suspect vehicle.
Police say the officer determined the vehicle wasn’t insured and didn’t have a muffler.
They say the validation sticker was expired, and the driver was not able to produce their driver’s licence.
The driver faces charges including Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance and Drive on Closed Highway, they have a future court appearance scheduled in Stratford.
