Breaking: Perth East restaurant closed as a precaution after positive COVID-19 case

A Perth East restaurant has been closed as a precaution while Huron Perth Public Health investigate a COVID-19 case.

HPPH says in a press release that Anna Mae’s Bakery and Restaurant in Millbank has been closed because of a positive case of the virus associated with the restaurant.

They say based on current information, the risk to the public is low and as the investigation continues there may be further updates.

HPPH says the restaurant owner is fully cooperative and supports the decision to temporarily close while more information is gathered.

The health agency says contact tracing related to the case is underway, which is a priority for stopping the spread of COVID-19.
