A Caledon woman is dead after a collision with a tractor-trailer. Perth County OPP says it happened at about 6:00 Monday night at the intersection of Perth Road 140 and Perth Line 91 in North Perth.
According to the OPP preliminary investigation shows the westbound tractor-trailer, which was hauling fuel at the time, hit the northbound SUV. The intersection is controlled by a stop sign.
The investigation continues.
The woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has been identified as 55-year old Girga Persaud. Two other passengers in the SUV were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
