It’s good news when it comes to an elderly dog found in a plastic bag near Listowel.
The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth says Mildred, the elderly geriatric dog, has had successful surgery to remove overgrown/prolapsed vaginal tissue.
They also say her mammary tumors have been determined to be benign.
Mildred now requires two more procedures with one addressing her dental issues and the other the removal of some small mammary growths.
They say an online fundraiser launched to help with the dog’s medical costs has raised more than $15,000.
