Zehr’s Country Market in Dashwood and Bayfield are reopening. Both locations were closed when the owner reported to Huron Public Health he was closing both locations because of illness.
HPPH investigated and found that both locations were linked to COVID-19 cases. They were closed on August 14th, even though the risk to the public was low.
HPPH says the owner has been working closely with the Public Health to implement and improve COVID-19 control and prevention measurements.
“We appreciate the continued support of the operator during our investigation,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health.
“Opening our stores safely was extremely important to us. Keeping our customers and staff healthy is our top priority,” says Paul Zehr, owner of the locations. “We saw the importance of working with public health during our closure and are pleased to be able to welcome our customers back to both of our stores.”
Those who visited the market prior to its temporary closure do not need to take any action.
