Julia Notebomer, a 13 year old girl who has been preparing all summer long to swim across Lake Erie on her 14th birthday (August 30th). She has been asking the community to help fund-raise her 20 km swim by collecting empty beer/wine cans and bottles. Her original goal was to raise $10,000 and she has surpassed it, raising over $15,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation South-Western Ontario. From Stratford Ontario, Julia Notebomer is the youngest person ever to swim across Lake Erie! Congratulations Julia! What an amazing accomplishment!
