There are now no active COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth. Huron Perth Public Health data also shows there are no new cases in the region. Yesterday there was just one active case in the region.
In a brief statement, HPPH Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen provided an update on the four cases of asymptomatic health care workers announced earlier this week. In its investigation, HPPH determined there was no evidence of transmission and the positive test results were either false positives or a result of prior infection.
There is no risk to the community.
There are no outbreaks at any long-term care facilities and the death toll remains at five.
