A 21-year-old Oakville woman has been charged with street racing by Stratford Police.
Just before 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon, SPS says an officer was conducting mobile speed enforcement in Perth South.
They say the officer witnessed a black Volkswagen Rabbit travelling west bound on Elginfield Road at a high rate of speed.
Police say the officer discovered the vehicle was travelling 140km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped on Elginfield Road near James Street.
The driver was charged, her vehicle was impounded for seven days and her license was suspended for a week.
