Stratford’s tourism sector receiving federal funding to help offset COVID-19

Stratford’s tourism sector is set to get $750,000 in fundinmg from Ottawa.

The City of Stratford says it’s receiving the funding from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario to help with the city’s tourism recovery.

The new recovery project, titled the “Stratford Tourism Alteration Transformation Project” will be administered by investStratford for the Economic Response and Recovery Task Force.

They say it will aid Stratford businesses who have been impacted by the decline in tourism due to COVID-19.
