OPP concerned about drivers not stopping for school buses

With school just a week away police are encouraging drivers to be vigilant and patient around school buses.

A recent province-wide study showed 151 drivers failed to stop for buses with their lights flashing in a five day period.

The OPP is reminding everyone that children’s safety isn’t just the responsibility of the bus driver.

Failing to stop for a bus with its lights on can lead to hefty fines and demerit points.
