Huron County OPP searching for stolen lawn tractor

Huron County OPP are on the lookout for a stolen John Deere lawn tractor that was taken last weekend from Exeter.

Investigators believe the tractor was stolen on sometime shortly before 5:15 Friday morning.

They say the suspect involved went to a property on Huron Street East and found the tractor parked near the garage with the keys in the ignition.

The tractor was last seen heading eastbound on Huron Street East.

It’s described as a green and yellow 2020 John Deere model 1025R sub-compact tractor with a loader bucket attachment with the tractor and attachment valued at $22,000.

Police say they believe the stolen tractor may have been used by suspects to steal a log splitter the next morning at the north end of Exeter.
