Province shifts a dozen health units up a level in public health restrictions

It’s happened just as Premier Doug Ford promised.  Ontario has moved several public health units up a level in their colour coded framework.  In making the announcement Ford says the situation is “extremely serious and further action is needed.”  As expected, Toronto and Peel Region will move to the highest level of Grey or Lockdown meaning many non-essential businesses to close to in-person shopping and restaurants will have to stop inside dining but can still offer takeout and delivery.
