Two Cedarcroft residents currently in hospital after testing positive for COVID-19

Two residents who tested positive for COVID-19 at a Stratford retirement home are currently in hospital.
Huron Perth Public Health provided an update on the outbreak at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence on Tuesday afternoon where eleven residents have died after testing positive for the virus.
Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr.Miriam Klassen says there have been 44 confirmed cases in residents and 19 in staff at Cedarcroft with four active cases remaining in residents and 27 recovered.
All nineteen staff members who tested positive for the virus at Cedarcroft have now recovered.
Lily Goodman is the CEO at Cedarcroft and she says their hearts are with the families who have lost loved ones.
“The eleven residents that have passed away are missed by everyone in our home community, many of them have lived with us for several years and while they were our residents, more than anything, they were our neighbors and our friends.”
A fourth round of prevalence testing has been completed on the eleven residents at Cedarcroft who haven’t tested positive for COVID-19 and all came back negative.
Another round of prevalence testing started on staff on Monday and was expected to be finished on Tuesday.
