You’re being reminded that wrapping paper is not accepted in Stratford’s recycling program.
While the paper itself is a recyclable material, the city says they can’t take gift wrap because of cross contamination from tape, bows and ribbons.
That means gift wrap, whether paper, plastic, foil or tissue, should not go in your blue box.
Plain brown craft paper can be recycled, as long as the tape, ribbons and bows are removed.
Cardboard and plastic packaging can be recycled, but styrofoam packaging or peanuts should not be put in your blue box.
