Kidde issues smoke/CO alarm recall

The Stratford Fire Department wants you to know about something that could save your life.

Kidde has recalled three types of smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.

It involves AC/DC powered residential alarms.

A power outage could put the devices into a “latched” mode that wouldn’t sound an alarm if smoke or CO was present.

The affected alarms were sold between January 2nd and May 13th of this year.

You can find more detailed information about the recall at this website.
