COVID-19 outbreak remains in effect at Stratford General Hospital

A COVID-19 outbreak remains in effect at Stratford General Hospital.
Officials with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance say, as of Sunday, the number of cases in the outbreak on the Inpatient Surgery Unit at SGH remains at three staff.
The outbreak was declared on Friday after the three cases were identified.
The affected staff are currently self-isolating at home and won’t return to work until their self-isolation period is complete and they are asymptomatic.
HPHA officials say no patients have acquired the virus while in hospital and they say the the outbreak has affected the Inpatient Surgery Unit only.
The hospital remains open for all scheduled clinics, procedures and emergency visits.
