Two more residents die in COVID-19 outbreak at Caressant Care in Listowel

Two more residents have died in a COVID-19 outbreak at Caressant Care in Listowel.

An official with Huron Perth Public Health tells MyStratfordNow.com that one of the residents was on the long-term care side while the other was on the retirement home side.

It brings the total number of residents who have died in the outbreak to four.

Some residents from Caressant Care in Listowel are moving to area hospitals.

In a letter to the community, officials say as of Tuesday six residents, three from the retirement home side and three from the long-term care side, have been relocated temporarily to area hospitals.

They say more transfers are planned in the following days and family members will be notified if their loved one is being considered for transfer.

The moves are being done through the local ambulance service.
