Officials with the City of Stratford say they’re looking at ways to cut down on heavy truck traffic on residential streets.
They say they have received a number of questions and concerns regarding heavy truck traffic on residential streets in the north end of the city and they take the concerns seriously.
The city is working on several initiatives to help ensure the construction traffic is properly and appropriately routed, including speaking with local developers to make them aware of the issue, and its impact on residents.
They say they are also going to increase police presence in those areas to help educate drivers of construction vehicles on proper routes to take.
They add they are also considering a by-law to restrict heavy truck traffic on local streets.
