Plans underway for COVID-19 mass immunization centres in Huron Perth

Plans are underway for COVID-19 mass immunization centres in Huron Perth.

Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr.Miriam Klassen says HPPH, like other health units across the province, were asked to submit their draft plans for the centres to Ontario officials by Wednesday.

She says our region’s plans will build on what was done here in the past when it came to mass vaccine centres, including what was done when the H1N1 vaccine was administered.

She adds final decisions, including where the centres will be located, depends on how much of the vaccine they receive and how quickly.

Dr.Klassen says officials are now reviewing and revising the plans and she expects the plan will be finalized by January 31st.
