It seems as though fraudsters are now going the extra mile.
The Perth County OPP is investigating an attempted lottery fraud in St. Marys.
A number of elderly residents were convinced to take large amounts of money out of their accounts and transfer them to another.
The scammer has even gone so far as to call up local taxi companies to arrange a ride for the victims.
The police are urging you to be vigilant and to be wary of sending money to anyone you don’t know and trust.
