Festival’s Birmingham Conservatory classes underway

This year’s Birmingham Conservatory classes have begun.

Twelve actors are taking part in the Stratford Festival’s intensive five month training course.

It helps prepare young actors for the rigours of classical theatre.

They’ll be studying under Conservatory Director Martha Henry.

Five participants are returning for their second year in the program: Jamie Mac, Jennifer Mogbock, Derek Moran, Karack Osborn and Laura Schutt. Current company members André Morin and Thomas Olajide join the program for their first year, along with Shannon Taylor who returns to the Festival for the first time since 2001. Also joining for their first year are Festival newcomers Ryan Bommarito, Jessica B. Hill, Josh Johnston and Tiffany Claire Martin.
