Scavenger Hunt in St. Marys!

Get outside, get active, and safely learn about St. Marys’ history with the people in your household. The St. Marys Museum and EarlyON have partnered to create a scavenger hunt. Each of the nine stops is of historic significance, with plaques to give further information.

“There is so much to be learned from the historic plaques in our community. Even stopping to read a sentence or two is a great way for young families to promote literacy, get active outdoors, and connect with their community,” says St. Marys EarlyON Coordinator Brittany Petrie.

The scavenger hunt is available on the Driftscape app during March; simply download this free app at https://driftscape.app.link/stmarys to view the scavenger hunt, plus other interesting historic and cultural information about St. Marys.

As part of the hunt, Instagram users are encouraged to “selfie” with the statue of Prime Minister Arthur Meighen located at Lind Park. When posting, be sure to tag @townofstmarys and @st_marys_youth_centre and comment with your favourite outdoor activity.
