Avon Maitland students above average in EQAO math testing

Avon Maitland’s Grade 9 students are above average when it comes to math.

The results from last year’s EQAO testing show that 90% of Academic students hit the provincial standard, compared to 85% in the rest of Ontario.

Applied students were well above the provincial average, with 61% achieving the standard, compared to 47% across the province.

District students also made gains on the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test.

81% met or exceeded the standard, up two points from last year.
