Perth County OPP are reminding drivers to be cautious around school zones.
Police say they have increased traffic enforcement near Listowel District Secondary School and Listowel Eastdale Public School after a rise in concerning driver behaviour over the past few weeks.
They say a number of drivers have been charged with various offences, including unnecessary noise, no muffler, and careless driving.
Two young drivers also had their driver’s licence’s suspended and vehicles impounded for seven days as a result of Stunt Driving offences.
Parents and guardians are reminded to speak with their young drivers about the privilege of driving, that they are responsible for their actions behind the wheel, and that reckless driving behaviour, won’t be tolerated.
