Al Fresco outdoor dining returning in Stratford

Al Fresco dining is returning in Stratford for a second year.

Stratford City Council has given the green light to a plan which will see 25 plastic picnic tables set up in Market Square and 10 tables surrounding The Boathouse along Lake Victoria.

Another fifteen tables are set up permanently on Tom Patterson Island with all of the tables in place starting on May 1st and remaining until October 31st.

People will also be able to drink alcohol in Market Square, Tom Patterson Island and in other areas in the Avon River park system during set hours.

Joani Gerber is the CEO of investStratford and she says city council is entrepreneurial in its thinking.

“It tries very hard to find as many solutions as possible and I think this year as the programs built you saw those alternatives come into play which will be critically important.”

Gerber adds Stratford Police have been a great partner in the program.
