More people can now book COVID-19 vaccines in Huron Perth

Adults aged 70 and older can now book COVID-19 vaccines in Huron Perth.

Huron Perth Public Health says, as of Friday, they have expanded vaccine eligibility to include the age group along with Indigenous persons 16 and older.

Eligibility has also been expanded to faith leaders who, as part of their regular role, are at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19.

“HPPH has been able to book many of our callers for an appointment in under a week,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen. “There continue to be many available appointment times.”

In order to help appointments move quickly, HPPH asks callers to leave only one message, leaving multiple messages slows down the appointment booking process.

“Please know that we have many appointments available, so there is no need to rush,” says Dr. Klassen. “Everyone who wants an appointment will get one.”

Those eligible can click here to book an appointment.
