The death toll from COVID-19 in our region has now reached 51.
Huron Perth Public Health updated their data Tuesday morning with one new death and two new cases.
A HPPH official tells MyStratfordNow.com the death was that of a person in the community.
They had recovered from the active COVID-19 infection but the virus was still found to be the contributing factor in their death.
New cases were reported in West Perth, North Perth and Stratford with one case reassigned to a different health unit.
There are 22 active cases, eight more than reported on Saturday.
There have been 1,438 cases since the start of the pandemic with 1,365 recovered.
