Some scheduled surgeries at hospitals in our region are being cancelled.
As of Monday, the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says a number of surgeries are being cancelled under direction from the province.
Ontario has told hospitals to stop performing non emergent procedures due to the rising number of COVID-19 patients in hospital.
Staff will be contacting patients that are impacted and Stratford General Hospital will be accepting patients from the Toronto area to try and help out with capacity.
They say patients in need of emergency care can still go to any HPHA hospitals.
