Perth East teen charged with racing

A 19-year-old Perth East resident will be walking for a while after police say he was caught driving eighty kilometres over the speed limit.

Just before 8 o’clock in the morning on April 6th, Perth County OPP say an officer stopped a vehicle on Perth Line 29 after it was found to be travelling in excess of 150km/h in a 70km/h limit zone.

The teen was charged with racing and his driver’s license was suspended for seven days with his vehicle impounded for the same amount of time.
