Police: Impaired driver causes ATV collision

A 61-year-old North Perth ATV driver has been charged with impaired after a collision.

First responders say they were called out to private property on Road 154, near Perth Line 72, just before six o’clock Sunday night about a single vehicle collision.

Police say the vehicle had rolled on top of the driver and they were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

During the investigation, police say they determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was arrested and provided breath samples.

He’s been charged with Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs and Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration.

His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for a week.
