Perth County OPP says another driver has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic stop in West Perth last week.
Just after midnight on April 11th, police say an officer saw a vehicle that was driving in a suspicious manner, and stopped the vehicle to investigate.
While speaking with the officer, the officer says the driver was displaying signs of impairment.
Police say the driver performed poorly on a Standard Field Sobriety Test and was arrested for impaired operation.
They were transported to the closest police detachment for further examination where a Drug Recognition Expert conducted a series of tests and the driver was deemed to be impaired by a drug.
A 23-year-old West Perth man has been charged with Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs.
A 90-day driving suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute
