Two people, including a Stratford man, face a long list of charges after a chase with police.
Huron County OPP say officers were patrolling on Victoria Street North in Goderich around 12:30 Saturday morning when they spotted a stolen pickup truck.
Police say they strategically followed the vehicle north out of Goderich where the driver failed to stop for an officer.
The suspect’s vehicle drove over a spike belt on Blyth Road and the driver continued on rims without stopping.
Eventually the driver turned off onto Pinery Line and the roadway turned into a dead-end road.
Police say the driver continued on and drove the vehicle down a walking trail until the vehicle finally came to a stop.
As soon as the vehicle stopped the driver and passenger fled into the woods with officers chasing after them and eventually arresting both.
Investigators say officers found a quantity of suspected meth in the stolen vehicle.
A 31-year-old Stratford man and a 31-year-old Huron East woman each face numerous charges with both facing future court dates.
