Five new COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth

Huron Perth Public Health is reporting five new COVID-19 cases in the region.

HPPH updated their data Wednesday morning with 41 active cases, three fewer than Tuesday.

Three of the new cases are in Stratford, one is in North Perth and the other is in Huron County.

Three previous reported cases have been reassigned to different health units.

There have been 63 cases associated with variants of concern, nine more than Tuesday.

There have been 1,533 cases since the start of the pandemic with 1,440 recovered.

The death toll remains at 52.
