Police investigating scooter robbery in Listowel

Perth County OPP are searching a suspect and witnesses after a robbery in Listowel.

Just before 9:30 Wednesday night, police say they received a report of a robbery that had just happened at the Listowel Memorial Park on Royal Street East.

Police say the suspect had assaulted two youths, and stole a backpack and two scooters.

There were no weapons used in the robbery, and the victims were not injured with the backpack and one scooter recovered.

The missing scooter is described as a Kick TFOX SIG scooter, with a dark green deck, black and green handle bars, with black wheels. It is valued at approximately $200.

The suspect fled the park on foot with the scooter.

He’s described as Caucasian, 140-160lbs with a medium build, dark scruffy facial hair and he had a black eye.

He was wearing a grey or black hoodie sweater.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
