Breaking: Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame cuts ties with Alomar in light of sexual misconduct investigation

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in St.Marys says Roberto Alomar will no longer be welcome at future events.

The announcement follows the Toronto Blue Jays severing ties with Alomar after Major League Baseball placed him on the ineligible list as an investigation is underway into a 2014 sexual misconduct allegation.

Reports say a woman filed a workplace complaint against the former Blue Jays star alleging sexual harassment.

Alomar was inducted into the hall in St.Marys in 2010 and officials say they are “upset and troubled” to learn of the move by the MLB.

They say, while it won’t impact his status as an inductee, the hall will no longer associate with him or his foundation.
