Tillsonburg golf course closing temporarily after breaking stay-at-home rules

A Tillsonburg golf course that was charged after breaking stay-at-home rules is closing.

The Bridges at Tillsonburg says in a unsigned statement on its website that they are temporarily shutting down because of what they call “overbearing” enforcement by the provincial government.

The course faces three charges under the Reopening Ontario Act with 24 golfers also facing charges.

The statement says the courses “opening protest” wasn’t about making money but, instead, was a protest of “unreasonable measures.”
