HPHA reducing hours at COVID-19 Assessment Centre

The hours of the COVID-19 Assessment Centre in Stratford are being cut back.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says the centre at the Stratford Rotary Complex is reducing its hours to Monday through Friday from 9:15 in the morning until 8:30 at night.

Saturday appointments will no longer be offered with HPHA saying the changes are being made reflecting lower volumes of individuals seeking tests.

HPHA President Andrew Williams says they don’t expect any issues with access for those wanting to be tested.

“The demand on the Saturday has just not been there and the demand on the rest of the week has been lower so we’re just consolidating the hours a bit just to make it more efficient from a staffing point of view.”

The changes go into effect as of this Saturday.
