St.Marys launching first-ever Picnic Project

It’s an idea that combines outdoor dining with public art.

The Town of St.Marys is preparing to launch its first-ever Picnic Project which will see ten picnic tables painted by different families and artists and set up around the town’s downtown core and in Milt Dunnell Park over the summer.

Online applications from households are being accepted until Wednesday with those chosen to take part then selected and tables delivered after that.

St.Marys Events Coordinator Andrea Macko says the goal is to have the tables in place by the start of next month.

“Why not grab some take-out, head down to one of these awesome tables and enjoy a really cool meal and support local business.”
