UPDATED: 32 new cases of COVID-19 in Huron Perth

There has been a large increase in the number of active COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth.  Huron Perth Public Health reports another 32 new diagnoses since its last report on Saturday.

There are now 70 active cases in the region.  22 of the new cases are in Huron County, with 12 reported in South Huron.  The rest of the cases are in Perth County with six new in Stratford, one in St. Marys, and three in North Perth. An HPPH spokesperson says the new cases are because of workplace outbreaks and social interactions.  Public Health does not release details about workplace outbreaks unless there is a risk to the public.
