Police searching for suspect they say stole over $1,400 in goods from Stratford grocery store

Police are searching for a suspect after they say he stole over $1,400 in goods from a Stratford grocery store.

They say it happened just before 8 o’clock at night on April 30th at the Zehrs on Ontario Street.

SPS says the male suspect went to the self-checkout where he scanned the items but didn’t pay for any of them.

Staff at the store reported the theft to police on May 2nd with the stolen items including rogaine, electric shavers and teeth whitening products with a total value of $1,438.

He left the store’s parking lot in a dark grey or black Honda sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call SPS or Crime Stoppers.
