Three Stratford based theatres chosen to receive provincial funding

Three Stratford based theatres are set to receive a combined $370,000 in funding from the Province of Ontario.

Here For Now Theatre, Why Not Theatre and the Stratford Festival have each been chosen to receive funding through the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund.

Provincial officials say the fund was set up to develop, promote and present high-quality, high-profile events that strengthen the economies of communities across the province.

Here For Now will get $20,000, the Why Not Theatre $100,000 and the Stratford Festival $250,000.

The funding was announced on Friday by Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries.
