A Stratford man has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail.

Thirty-year-old Daniel Hamm received the punishment for a drunk driving crash in the parking lot of a 7-11 in the city.

It happened in January 2020 when the court said he stopped at the store and then drove his truck at a couple while leaving.

He hit a man, leaving him with 30 broken bones and permanent damage according to the judge, and he narrowly missed hitting a woman.

Hamm pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing bodily harm and other offences before he was sentenced.
