Stratford has its first Living Wage Certified Manufacturer. The United Way Perth-Huron says FIO Automotive Canada Corporation recently became the city’s first large-scale manufacturer to certify in the Champion category. Calculated annually, the Living Wage is a calculation based on the living expenses of a typical family of four with both adults working full-time for 35 hours a week, once government transfers and deductions are taken into account. Perth-Huron’s Living Wage is currently $17.55 per hour.
