The list of those who can book their second COVID-19 vaccine appointment in our region is now longer.
With large shipments of the Moderna vaccine expected to arrive in the next few weeks, Huron Perth Public Health says anyone 18 and older who got their first dose of any vaccine on or before May 9th can now book their second appointment.
Moderna and Pfizer are interchangeable vaccines meaning if you received a Pfizer shot as your first, you can choose to have Moderna as your second or vice-versa.
The additional doses are also making it possible for HPPH to increase the number of mass immunization clinics, with some as early as next week.
Moderna vaccines will also be available through primary care offices and pharmacies.
