OPP arrest 10 and lay 82 charges in connection with West Perth property crime

Over the past half year the OPP has recognized an increase in property crime in West Perth.

Now after a four month long investigation into the issue ten people have been arrested.

The investigation showed that the majority of the criminal activities in West Perth had drug and stolen property connections with individuals outside of the county.

Of the ten people arrested four are from West Perth, two are from Perth South, two are from Kitchener and two are from Zorra Township.

In total 82 charges have been laid.

The police have also recovered stolen property worth an estimated $16,600 dollars and seized $10,000 in cash and an estimated $290,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The Perth County OPP investigation into property crimes within the county is ongoing.
